وجدان‌های بیدار جهان آزاد و سازمان‌های حقوق بشری بی‌طرف؛
متأسفانه هرچه بیشتر که رژیم جمهوری اسلامی ایران در بحران‌های اقتصادی و سیاسی فرو می‌رود و به‌عنوان رژیمی جانی و فاسد مشروعیت خود را در میان شهروندانش و در سطح بین‌المللی از دست می‌دهد، به سرکوب بیشتر فعالین سیاسی، حقوق بشری و حتی فرهنگی و محیط‌زیستی می‌پردازد تا شاید بتواند با توسل به زور و خشونت قدری عمر خود را طولانی‌تر کند. سرکوب روشنفکران و فعالین سیاسی - اجتماعی وجه مشترک تمام رژیم‌های دیکتاتوری و غیردمکراتیک است که البته هیچ‌کدام نتوانسته‌اند با توسل به چنین روش‌هایی از پایان تلخ نجات یابند.
اکنون در ایران هر صدای مخالف و منتقدی با شدت سرکوب و خفه می‌شود. فعالین صنفی، فعالین حقوق زنان، فعالین آزادی‌های اعتقادی، فعالین حقوق اقلیت‌های جنسی، فعالین محیط زیستی و سایر فعالین از خشونت رژیم جمهوری اسلامی در امان نیستند.
در این میان فعالین حقوق ملل تحت ستم در ایران، از آن جمله فعالین ترک در آذربایجان جنوبی و سایر مناطق ایران با بیشترین میزان سرکوب و خشونت دولتی مواجه هستند. بسیاری از فعالین ترک با اتهامات ساختگی توسط دادگاه‌های غیرشفاف و غیرعادلانه و بدون حق دفاع از خود به مجازات‌های سنگین محکوم شده و در زندان‌های رژیم جمهوری اسلامی به سر می‌برند که از آن جمله عبدالعزیز عظیمی قدیم، طاهر نقوی، ودود اسدی، مرتضی پروین، آیاز سیف‌خواه، آراز امان و باقر حاجی‌زاده را می‌توان نام برد.
در همین حال گزارش‌ها حاکی است عبدالعزیز عظیمی قدیم که در زندان اوین تهران محبوس است، در اعتراض به رفتارهای غیرعادلانه دستگاه قضایی جمهوری اسلامی ایران دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است و به همین دلیل، مسئولین زندان حق تماس تلفنی و ارتباط وی با خانواده‌اش را سلب کرده‌اند. در حالی که گزارش شده است وی به خاطر وخامت وضعیت جسمانی به بهداری زندان منتقل شده است خانواده و نزدیکان این زندانی سیاسی نگرانی عمیق خود نسبت به وضعیت سلامتی وی ابراز کرده‌اند. همچنین ده‌ها تن از فعالین ترک آذربایجانی با اتهامات مشابه بازداشت شده و با وثیقه‌های سنگین به طور موقت آزاد شده‌اند. روند قضایی این فعالین ادامه دارد و ممکن است هر یک با مجازات‌های سنگین مواجه شوند. این در حالی است که بیشتر فعالین بازداشت‌شده اذعان کرده‌اند که در اثنای بازداشت و بازجویی با ضرب و شتم و شکنجه فیزیکی و روانی مأموران حکومتی مواجه شده‌اند.
طی روزهای گذشته، خانم مای ساتو، گزارشگر ویژه سازمان ملل در امور ایران، در گزارشی به نقض گسترده حقوق بشر و سرکوب فعالین آذربایجانی اشاره کرده و از جامعه جهانی خواستار اقدام فوری جهت توقف سرکوب آزادی‌های مدنی و سیاسی در ایران شده است. همچنین سازمان دیدبان حقوق بشر طی گزارشی از سرکوب فعالین ترک آذربایجانی ابراز نگرانی کرده و با اشاره به احکام حبس طویل‌المدت فعالین آذربایجانی تأکید کرده است که رژیم جمهوری اسلامی برای درهم شکستن جامعه مدنی و جلوگیری از مطالبه حقوق اساسی گروه‌های اتنیکی تلاش می‌کند.
ما احزاب و سازمان‌های آذربایجانی، قشقایی و ترکمنصحرا امضاکننده این بیانیه، ضمن محکوم کردن سیاست‌های سرکوب و خشونت رژیم جمهوری اسلامی، توجه افکار عمومی جهان آزاد، خصوصاً سازمان‌های حقوق بشری را به نقض گسترده حقوق بشر و سرکوب خشونت‌آمیز فعالین سیاسی و مدنی در آذربایجان جنوبی و سایر مناطق ایران جلب می‌کنیم و از آن‌ها درخواست می‌کنیم برای پایان دادن به این رفتارهای غیرانسانی، رژیم جمهوری اسلامی را تحت فشار قرار دهند. بدون شک، تضمین آزادی‌های اساسی در کشور ایران و پایان دادن به رفتارهای مغایر با موازین انسانی رژیم جمهوری اسلامی، گامی بزرگ در راستای تأمین صلح و آرامش در خاورمیانه و تمام جهان خواهد بود.

Letter from Azerbaijani and Qashqai Organizations to Human Rights Institutions Regarding Turkic Political Prisoners in Iran
Awakened consciences of the free world and impartial human rights organizations,
Unfortunately, as the Islamic Republic Regime of Iran sinks deeper into economic and political crises and loses its legitimacy among its citizens and on the international stage as a criminal and corrupt regime, it intensifies its repression of political, human rights, cultural, and environmental activists. The regime seeks to prolong its rule through force and violence. The suppression of intellectuals and political-social activists is a common characteristic of all dictatorial and undemocratic regimes. However, none of these regimes have managed to escape their bitter downfall by resorting to such methods.
Currently, in Iran, any dissenting or critical voice is harshly silenced. Labor activists, women's rights advocates, freedom of belief defenders, LGBTQ+ rights activists, environmental activists, and other civil society activists are not spared from the violence of the Islamic Republic's regime.
Meanwhile, activists advocating for the rights of oppressed nations in Iran, including Turkic activists in South Azerbaijan and other regions of Iran, face the highest levels of state repression and violence. Many Turkic activists have been sentenced to harsh punishments by non-transparent and unjust courts on fabricated charges, without the right to defend themselves. They are currently imprisoned under the Islamic Republic's rule. Among them are Abdulaziz Azimi Qadim, Taher Naqavi, Vudud Asadi, Morteza Parvin, Ayaz Seyfkhah, Araz Aman, and Baqer Hajizadeh.
Reports indicate that Abdulaziz Azimi Qadim, who is held in Tehran's Evin prison, has gone on a hunger strike in protest against the unjust actions of Iran's judicial system. As a result, prison authorities have denied him the right to communicate with his family via phone. It has also been reported that due to his deteriorating health, he has been transferred to the prison infirmary. His family and loved ones have expressed deep concern for his well-being.
Additionally, dozens of Azerbaijani Turkic activists have been arrested on similar charges and released temporarily on heavy bail. Their legal cases are still ongoing, and each of them could face severe punishments. Many of the arrested activists have testified that they were subjected to physical and psychological torture, including beatings by government agents during detention and interrogation.
In recent days, Ms. Mai Sato, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, has highlighted the widespread human rights violations and suppression of Azerbaijani activists in her report. She has called on the international community to take urgent action to stop the crackdown on civil and political freedoms in Iran. Similarly, Human Rights Watch has expressed concern over the repression of Azerbaijani activists and, in its report, emphasized that the Islamic Republic regime is trying to dismantle civil society and prevent ethnic groups from demanding their fundamental rights.
We, the Azerbaijani and Qashqai Turkic parties and organizations signing this statement, strongly condemn the repressive and violent policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We draw the attention of the free world, particularly human rights organizations, to the widespread human rights violations and the violent suppression of political and civil activists in South Azerbaijan and other regions of Iran.
We call on the international community and human rights institutions to pressure the Islamic Republic to end these inhumane actions. Undoubtedly, ensuring fundamental freedoms in Iran and putting an end to the Islamic Republic regime’s violations of human dignity will be a significant step toward achieving peace and stability in the Middle East and across the world.
